Aquiles Perez, PhD

EC&A Solutions Eng LLC is a Houston-area engineering consultancy led by Aquiles Perez, PhD, with more than fifteen years of experience in oil and gas materials, corrosion, welding, mill qualification, and fitness-for-service.

We support operators, engineering and construction companies, mills, and classification and assurance bodies. Engagements connect material selection, welding procedures, cathodic protection, component inspection, and fracture control across conventional oil and gas, CCUS, ammonia, and hydrogen transport.

Our work includes project-specific material specifications for offshore and onshore service, worldwide mill qualification, and inspection of critical pipe, welds, coatings, and pressure-containing components. Specifications cover line pipe, forgings, induction bends, and non-metallics for environments involving H2S, CO2, dense-phase CO2, H2, ammonia, and chlorides.

Each engagement defines the technical question, assessment scope, and documentation needed by engineering, integrity, and procurement teams.
